Yes, but what I'm getting at is as a tax payer funded radio station, BBC should provide a station that covers new and old indie/rock music as their main playlist.
R1 currently playing dance

I did slightly cherry-pick that show - during the day they do play a lot more "dancey" stuff. But 6Music have led me to so many acts:
Laura Marling
Courtney Barnett
White Denim
Wet Leg
Cake
... I could go on ...

I find myself listening to Spotify a lot more than any radio station now. Some of the playlists are very much in keeping with what I want to listen to. e.g. currently it's the Punk mix. Undertones, Clash, Jam, Stranglers, Blondie, Motors, Ramones, Buzzcocks, Ruts, Skids, Pistols, Sham 69 etc....

Michelle Visage's show is hard going , Claudia is ok but wouldn't fancy listening to her every day

Besides perhaps 'Mark & Lard' and Terry Wogan, Ken is genuinely the best DJ to have graced the airwaves. Just as R2 had turned a bit of a corner with the odious Steve Wright packing in his weekday afternoon slots and being replaced by the great Scott Mills, too.

Are you been serious, I can't comment on Mark and Lard as I have never heard them, I can listen to Ken Bruce during Pop Master and thats about it, and couldn't listen to Wogan at all, he was dire.
As for all the so called celebrity DJs, what are they thinking.
