Edfoc night ride places are now open. 25 quid for a night of my company on dark roads and two meals sounds good to me !

Was hoping to get my moneys worth out of the train fare and squeeze the Lochs and Castles evening tour in beforehand, but it looks as if it's been "suspended until further notice" .

Sadly that's due to personal reasons, by the organiser of the L&C tour. Not at liberty to say more.

On a happier note - will be great to see you again .
By the way, there is no obligation to cycle in @Louch's company , there will be several groups setting off independently.

Actually it was 7AM last year, as that's when the breakfast was booked for. This year we are more flexible, as we are self-catering again.

Hi Tug, apologies for the late reply, the desk is snowed under :-)

I haven't managed to get as far as Dura Den yet work to repair and re-open the road didn't start till December last year and according to the local press it's not due to be completed till late spring/early summer, you can get to the climb via Dairsie.

UPDATE 16/05/15 :
I cycled through Dura Den yesterday, although the road through Kemback is closed to vehicles it is passable for cyclists, there s passage/foot path down the side of the repair works, got to say it was a pleasure riding up and down without any traffic :-)

we have a caravan at Clayton and the next time i'm up there with the bike i will do the climb again, glad i'll be able to cycle the climb

Last year I woke up in london, flew home, rode to Stirling, did the route, then rode home from Stirling. But then I am double hard

I'm not normally a night owl, but night riding every now and then is special . Had no problems staying awake for any of the night rides I've done, am sure you'd be fine, too .

I'd need to take the bike in the car, drive over straight after work then join the ride
