Not major damage but I'm a terrible descender and done a lot of trackstanding, so much in fact that with all the weight on the front wheel I broke a spoke :-)

I took over 14 minutes on the descent, the KOM (a bit of irony there) did it in under 7 minutes :-D

Not fun at all - crazy steep with constant hairpins. The ride through and up from Glen Quaich is, however, amazing

West Lothian has some great little roads, rugged hills, often rugged surfaces too. At it's best in the cold and wet. I do most of my riding there. A bit short on tea rooms though.
There were a few signs of spring around this afternoon during a short ride out to Musselburgh ... 1st daffodils out & a beautiful bullfinch along the Innocent path, crocuses flowering in various places, the sunshine in between the showers actually felt quite warm (in places sheltered from the wind 
) ...
Other noteworthy stuff - saw my first Virgin branded East Coast train (line privatised again as of today
); those huge dark shower cells were pretty spectacular, with the odd rainbow alongside

One for @mr messy, our new master baker ...
I made some bere bannocks today (no breadmaker required, just a bowl, a rolling pin and a frying pan) 
We came across beremeal bakery items a couple of years ago, on Orkney, and HJ came across some biscuits at the farmers market yesterday, where he was also told the stuff can just be bought in the health food shop round the corner.
I'll have to experiment with Orkney-style shortbread & Birsay biscuits (look it up online) next

still got freezing feet!
