My TCR is a 11-28 and i never really have to use the big gearsIts an 11-34, its not the biggest I could have gone but I can still sit and spin up 20% hills with ease.

https://app.strava.com/segments/4192867I am sure i have read on here that @HLaB done damage to his bike going down that hill....Ed its scary steep close to Kenmore
Not major damage but I'm a terrible descender and done a lot of trackstanding, so much in fact that with all the weight on the front wheel I broke a spoke :-)I am sure i have read on here that @HLaB done damage to his bike going down that hill....Ed its scary steep close to Kenmore
I took over 14 minutes on the descent, the KOM (a bit of irony there) did it in under 7 minutes :-Dhttps://app.strava.com/segments/4192867
It looks fun, but I'll be careful - I'll not even try to beat @Rasmus' time on the descent!
Better to be an alive "non KOM" than a smashed up KOMI took over 14 minutes on the descent, the KOM (a bit of irony there) did it in under 7 minutes :-D

Not fun at all - crazy steep with constant hairpins. The ride through and up from Glen Quaich is, however, amazing
Bathgate Alps are good to cycle inWee trip over to pedal power For my mate to look around, and I come back with new shoes. West lothian loos good roads wise, who is our expert in that area since @Pedal pusher doesnt seem to be around much?
There was rain, freezing wind, sleet showers on the Belles ride today, was meant to be 12, only me and another two went in the end. There were a few signs of spring around this afternoon during a short ride out to Musselburgh ... 1st daffodils out & a beautiful bullfinch along the Innocent path, crocuses flowering in various places, the sunshine in between the showers actually felt quite warm (in places sheltered from the wind ) ...
