So I trusted the weather report yesterday saying it was getting warmer, so headed out up sheriffmuir, didn't put any over shoes on, well after about 10 minutes my toes were numb and the route I do around the back of the ochil hills to braco has a lot of snow melt then climbing sheriffmuir the road had a lot of slush on it... Still it felt good stretching the climbing muscles even though I was struggling like a dog

I'm also wondering where this "large area of high pressure" which they were promising was on it's just a few days ago has gone. I was up in Montrose today and couldn't get the curtains shut on the lorry because of the wind.

Forecast for the weekend here is wet and windy. Next week better but still windy. Even down south not looking as good as the BBC were trying to make out, apart from a nice Saturday in London. Maybe that's what they meant when they said the whole country was in for a good spell of weather. UK is London after all .

I'm spending the week in lovely (actually rainy) Naples for work. Today I tried a local speciality, the "Pizza Fritta". The Scottish chippies should send some people down here to study this art - it was delicious!

I don't know if I was 'whizzing' but it was lovely to bump in to you on my travels

The wind was a pain, nearly got blown over whilst clipped in at the lights about 100 yards from home... luckily managed to regain my balance by waving my unclipped foot in the air until I started to sway back over to that side and I could plant my foot down! (I'm sure it looked really graceful to the car behind me!)

Indeed. I'm hoping to get a big ride in tomorrow and am not looking forward to the 20 - 40 mph wind forecast locally.

According to Strava labs we were both on a roundabout together , did you pass the two lassies on the tandem ?

I can't remeber passing you on the roundabout, didn't see the tandam ,a couple of guys passed me on the road from the dunfermline cycling club and looking at the strava lab they must have just been in front of you, I was really struggling in the wind on that road, it would have been ok for you with the wind in your back
