I've never been on a bike up there and would love too
Endless, vast stretches of nothing as far as the eye can see... suits me perfectly:cry:

C'mon @ShooglyDougie, we want to see the masterpiece ... even if it's currently unfinished :hyper:

@ScotiaLass You can go to Dull (twinned with Boring, apparently, according to the road signs), the Watermill at Aberfeldy is an amazing independent bookshop/cafe, to follow up on the tree theme, there is the oldest tree (Fortingall yew), the crannogs on Loch Tay, and miles and miles of lovely wee roads and tracks for cycling ... go on, you want to take your bike :okay:

On another note, the commute was a bit hardcore today, ice and headwind this morning, sleat/rain/gales on the way home (mostly a tailwind for once  though rather than a crosswind, the hardest bit was the last 50 m into the wind once I had turned off into our street).

Limped my car into the garage this morning. The cylinder head (or at least the gasket) has gone

Now waiting to see how much it will be. The car's only worth a few hundred quid so could be marginal on whether to fix it.

I would say it will probably cost more than the car is worth tbh

That's what I expect, though if it's just the gasket needing replacing then it may just be worth it. I may or may not be staring at autotrader instead of doing my work ;)
Depends also on what car it is...

Any replacement I buy will be a newer car, which I've been thinking about doing for a few months anyway. The car was bought as something that I wouldn't be too scared of getting tatty when I was moving house nearly three years ago. It's survived longer than required so doesn't owe me anything. The quote from my local garage was £600 for the fix which if I was really happy that the car would otherwise be fine I might have gone for, but as it's needed a few other minor fixes over the last year I'm not sure I am.

I'm going to replace I think.

A few yards away from home, it was icy, and I wasn't on the ice bike, stupid me ... auch!
Then on the commute home, a car almost collided with me, he wasn't going to stop at the give way, the silly sod ... harumph!:cursing:
