Perthshire's a pretty big place!
Um, regarding Pitlochry, I guess it depends really. Lots of good cycling country around there and I vaguely remember that the river front is quite nice, you can hire a rowboat.

It's the Mrs favourite place to go, if you get the waterfall after some rain its truly amazing

Queens View has, er nice views - you could always take your bike and do the Etape route...

If you blink as you cycle through it, you will miss it! Also there some pretty step climbs in and out of it as well that even fully fit I found hard! The best bit is just to the south of it where there is a cafe and toilet... But it is sadly seasonal however the picnic benches are still open and several miles further south just before pitlochry, there is a forestry commission woodland reserve with year round toilets and a nice area to ride a mtb in.

Nice drive up and over Queens View then round the lochs, head over Schehallion then down to Grantully and that's Day 1 done!!

I've seen that before, my dad used to drive us up there all the time when he used to visit tayside pressure washers for parts

Isn't there an Art centre of some sort very cloe to Pitlochry? I've ridden through there once on LonJOG and I'm sure we stopped in its cafe
