Nice little bit of predicting on the golf yesterday, and a trip to Arran with @Edwardoka tomorrow has me shopping for new shoe covers and a gilet today . But first some washing to be done and hung out to dry so my parents don't return thinking iv left all the housework until the last min........

Looking forward to it, the String road is closed so we don't really have any route options.

The weather looks terrible for tomorrow ... there is a big yellow symbol in the various forecasts, a bit like this one :sun:
Not jealous either ... I'll be sitting at my computer all day, much preferable :wacko: (not)

I have a light waterproof jacket I've not worn yet that you can borrow if the weather turns.
I was too warm last time even when I was riding through cloud, howling wind and rain with two layers on, so on a warm spring day I'm unlikely to need it.

I'll also be bringing a pannier so no need to lug a backpack round unless you really want to.

Which ferry do you want to aim for?

Woo hoo, the old(ish) guy only went and got his first (and probably last) KOM today. I knew it was there for the taking - a short DOWNHILL stretch of my occasional commute. Not going to be taking part in the TdF just yet :laugh:.

Well done! :thumbsup::wahhey:

I'm sure all of your 15 competitors for that particular crown will be straight out tomorrow to try and usurp you:biggrin:.

Still I'm off on 4 days hols now and we're only going to the Centerparcs at Penrith 25 miles away.

So I'm cycling there and back on the MTB :bicycle:
That went well :B)

Jeez an MTB on knobblies is hard work on the road, I have also found that the stock Giant MTB saddle is incompatible with my ar$e over a 27 mile distance, and I was glad to get off the bike at each end. It was possible to choose a hillier route than I did, but not by much :heat:

I got there and back, and a bike is the perfect way to get around such places, and to keep up with a 5 year old who wants to ride his bike everywhere :bravo:

You should have got the family to take the MB to Centerparks @MikeW-71 and ride the road bike there and back.
Well done, it must have been hard work! :sweat:

The bike rack was already full of 3 other bikes, so I would have had to take my car just to get my MTB there, which seemed daft to me.

It was hardest coming back, two 15% hills to climb instead of descend, and a headwind to deal with.
