two fifty mile rides over this weekend. made a very welcome break from running. even managed cake with @tug benson today, and talked him up to 50 miles from 30 to take him over 130 miles this weekend.

Forcing CAKE down an unsuspecting @tug benson then persuading him to do extra miles - and I bet you sent him up a hill or two ...

I only managed a short blast out to Musselburgh and back, in between working all day ... better than nothing!

I lurked around a local 20mile hilly TT route today, was delighted to get a PB round it…but the nice thing was that every single cyclist I passed/was coming towards me either waved, or said hello. Which was nice.

We seen dozens of people out today. Groups, individuals, pairs, really good to see and that little wave makes all the difference

Gutted I missed out riding on Saturday which was the best day of the weekend (in the west anyway) as I had planned to go to the Dumbarton game against Queen of the South with my dad... I rode home from my folks on Sunday but it was raining and windy so didn't add any miles on.

To add insult to injury, after not losing all year to date, we got beaten 3-1... (I blame the dodgy ref for giving the soft free kick and non-corner that led to their first two goals!)

(Apart from the result it was a good day out, so can't complain too much I guess...)

Rear axle snapped in half today, stopped at lights fortunately. Just a few yards later, a steepish downhill. Got a fright, but could have been worse

I'm fine Col, thanks. The driver behind me must have thought "what a stupid cyclist" when I jumped off the bike, ran to the next pavement
