I thought you might know the people running it or something ;)

I may plot a wee route around east fife for us then
Is that you making an effort due to your 'boyish good looks ' having faded since Sunday?:laugh:
Would be nice to get another Fife ride on the CC Ecosse books

A question that would probably be best answered by @Pat "5mph" , @Rasmus or @Harry_Palmer79 as they are most used to cycling in Glasgow - but anyone else feel free to answer!

Now that I'm working in the centre of Glasgow, I'm planning to commute by bike. Now I imagine that from Cumbernauld I'll cycle down the old A80 and Stepps bypass by I'm looking for tips to get from there to Bothwell Street where my new office is.

Any thoughts?

Well, just from perusing Google Maps that road joins up with Alexandra Parade so you could follow that along to Castle Street and High Street. Go down High Street as far as George St, turn right there along to the left turn for Montrose street, then first right along Cochrane Street/George square along to St Vincent St and turn off there wherever you need (Wellington or Blythswood Street for the one-way system) as Bothwell St is one-way in the opposite direction. I don't cycle that end of town much, so @Rasmus or @Pat "5mph" may have better ideas!

If you come in on Alexandra Parade you can give me a wave as you pass my house ^_^

...but, I think a faster route to the city centre is to take Royston Rd leading onto Baird Street->Kyle St->N Hanover St. You could then either go via George Sq or Killermont St-> W Nile St to St Vincent St.

Be wary of the left turn filter lane on St Vincent St at Renfield St. There is heavy congestion here more or less constantly, which obscures the road markings - best to to take primary in the middle lane.
