Easiest solution to go from 2 to zero which i did 30yrs ago was to make tea without any sugar, take a sip, nearly fall over with disgust and then put 1 and 3/4 sugars in, then try again and it tastes amazingly sweet 😉 then just repeat as often as you dare. Took me about a month.

I stopped having sugar in hot drinks in the late 80s. Took a few weeks to lose the craving, you can taste tea/coffee without masking it with sugar.

The GLW and I stopped using sugar a while back. If necessary, I'll put half a spoon of thick honey in an 'Americano Grande'.
Minor problem last week when I offered my window cleaner a cuppa and he asked for two sugars.
Luckily found a couple of sugar sachets in a dark place somewhere.

The struggle is real, when we have visitors you have to turn out the cupboards to find a crystalised lump in a bag at the back & chip off a spoonful or 2.

I don't drink tea or coffee.
Nowt wrong with that.
My tea has to be 'soldier's brew', but my taste in 'proper' coffee varies depending on my mood at the time.
My local coffee vendor knows me so well now that I don't even have to ask. I just give him an idea and he always comes up with just the right concoction - ! ^_^

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I loathe tea. Can't stand the smell

Coffee however is a different story. I used to drink a lot of coffee and had a good 2 spoons of sugar. Nowadays I have the coffee pods, only drink 3 or 4 cups a day at most and 1 spoon of sugar.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
drank tea and coffee with no sugar for as long as i can remember, stopped taking milk to save 20 cals a cup.

When I was much younger I had two sugars in both tea and coffee. I went on a camping holiday in North Wales and packed everything we needed…..except sugar. It wasn’t till the morning of day three before we could buy any but, after a short period on drinking tea and coffee without sugar, it was too sweet and I have not had sugar in either since.

When I was a kid - even a teenager up to about 15 - I never drunk tea or coffee

I would drink tea if pushed but only with 2 sugars (heaped)

My Mum was always trying me to get me to drink "grown up" drinks but could never get me to drink coffee
kept putting more and more milk in it to help me like it

Then one day we were on holiday in Scotland (Lock Awe) and the hotel had a lounge to use after dinner with free ground coffee - so Mum had another go
Then I saw that she was drink black coffee so I tried that and realised it was the milk in the coffee that I didn;t like!!

anyway - I started drinking it but only with 2 sugars

then - several years later I started at University. It was in Nottingham and there was a shop on Campus that was nearby
Then I ran out of sugar one Friday night when I had a lot to get done that weekend
The shop was closed by then and was not open on Saturdays
so the nearest shop was in Beeston that was quite a walk away - and I just didn;t have the time!!

By the end of the weenend I no longer took sugar in coffee

I didn;t drink much tea at the time - but it has switched now and I drink more tea
both without sugar!!
