Cake or ice cream? The choice is endless ...

I stopped adding sugar to things a year or so ago. Tea, coffee & cereals and no syrup in my porridge either.
The only sugar I actually add is to Bird's Custard powder.

I don't scrimp on cake or ice-cream, though! 😂

I drink my coffee without milk.

Did I ever tell you folks about the time I was on a course at Hendon and foolishly asked for a black coffee in the canteen? You'd have thought I'd turned up wearing KKK costume from the reaction I got.

I used to put one very small flat spoonful in one cup of coffee a day in winter only, but I've stopped drinking coffee altogether now, so none.

It's added sugar in general that needs limiting though, not just spoonsful in tea & coffee. It's recommended that no more than 5% of total calories should come from added sugar, but the national average is 12%.

5 sugars in his tea, and had up to 25 cups a day
I make that about 2000 kcals.
Surprised at how quickly I got used to the different taste, don't miss it at all.
Habituation is great, I used to think skimmed milk was horrible until I got used to it, now I think whole milk is revolting. Same with bread, I think white is revolting now I've been used to eating brown for the last 12 years.
