How many sugars do you have in tea or coffee?

I voted none as I do not have sugar in my coffee that I make. However I do at times have one sugar when out. Some places seem to turn even the nicest coffee roasts into the most bitter of coffees and in those cases I have to put sugar in to drink the bitter brew. I do not know how people can make coffee so bitter but you know it is bad when you pull a face when you first sip it. In that special case I will put a sugar in to allow me to continue absorbing my caffeine "medicine".

I tried to cut down from 2 to 1, managed for about 3 days and then realised life was too short! I'd rather go without than have under-sugared hot drinks. I can have black Rooibos with no sugar but I don't really enjoy it. And sweetener tastes foul

There was a guy on the series "supersize Vs superskinny" years ago who was very underweight. He took 5 sugars in his tea, and had up to 25 cups a day. I think he sometimes had a scheese sandwich for supper but that was it.

Always 2 sugars for me until I cut it out completely a few years ago.
Surprised at how quickly I got used to the different taste, don't miss it at all.

I did briefly start putting half a spoon in my tea again but quickly went back to zero, just tasted so sweet!

When I was a teenager I used to have milk and two sugars in coffee (and didn't drink tea).

Then I went to university, and at some point ran out of milk, so tried my coffee without, and preferred it. Went home the next holidays and my parents were a bit surprised at me drinking it black.

The next term, the same thing happened with sugar .
When I went home that time, they were saying "Next time, you'll be chewing the beans".

I was actually grinding my own beans by the next time, although that has fallen by the wayside.

But I have never taken milk or sugar in my coffee since then. Still have milk in regular tea (which I started drinking soon after), but never did drink that with sugar.

None.

Sugar in tea is an abomination, and there's little point on drinking coffee if you're turning it into a soft drink.

Limiting to two cups a day! It's a heavy day if I have a third coffee, usually just one first thing when I get up and then a second at work on my work days. Quality, not quantity....

Yes, I'd normally have 2 coffees and 3 teas. But now I'm drinking much more water instead. A freinds mum once went to the doctor complaining of headaches. The doctor asked about her diet and specifically how much she drank. She said average was about 14 cups of tea per day!

Days when I'm in the office, I normally have three coffees - one when I arrive, one mid morning and one mid afternoon. At home, it is usually two, one mid morning and one mid afternoon - but those will be larger than the office ones.

In addition to that, I have a tea with breakfast and another after the evening meal, then usually one about 8:00-8:30pm. And one with lunch if I'm at home.
