I'm doing the 50 as we're having a family weekend in Dunkeld and I don't want to be away all day. Looks like good routes.

I want to do this on my 'bent - but the Entry Requirements state that "Helmets must be worn by all participants".

Unfortunately, the (permanent) headrest on my Nazca prevents me wearing a helmet ... so no ride for me this time ...

1: Purchase cheap helmet.
2: Saw off rear portion.
3: Wear until out of sight of the start gate.

Looks like there are suitable early morning trains, and you can start as late as 10 am. I'm considering entering as well...

I've got one of the guys on the Triban Owners Club forum signed up for this too, so I'm assuming nobody has any issues with us all doing this as a group? We get set off in groups of ten, two minutes apart and can start any time between 8am and 10am, apparently.
