I said the same thing to @Louch last night, he quickly told me i was mad

I've got one of the guys on the Triban Owners Club forum signed up for this too, so I'm assuming nobody has any issues with us all doing this as a group? We get set off in groups of ten, two minutes apart and can start any time between 8am and 10am, apparently.

I have no issues, i say the more the better, i certainly dont plan on blasting round the 50 miles as quickly as possible

My thinking is to try and do a nice steady pace, enjoy it and finish it!! Also doing the 50 mile Tour Ride sportive at Drumlanrig in September, so can maybe give that one more of a go.

I've gone and signed up. Couldn't get a bike reservation on the train, so I'll have to chance it on the unreservable Dundee service coming into Perth at 0912.

So, it looks like I won't be starting until quite close to 10. If you all want to get started a little earlier by all means go for it - I'll see if I can catch you...

Hmmm, quite tempted by this (probably the 50 as well, though I'm considering a century ride in the near future)... but I'm a bit wary of a jobsworth ticket inspector stopping me getting on the train to Perth!

Meet for 830, group up and try and get through gate for 9, try and finish( with you for a change) around 1230-1?

I went conservative, and settled with 50.

Thanks for the offer, that might be a good plan. There's local services coming into Stirling at 0741 and 0800.
