A quick question for those out there with the local knowledge. My son has just started a riding a fixie; would the 50 mile route be viable for that sort of machine? (He's old enough and reasonably fit)

For the 50, a fixie should be okay...would be pushing it, (literally) on the 100........ :-)

There is options of 50 or 100 mile routes, thinking of giving myself a real challenge and 'attempting' to complete the 100 mile route.

All details can be found on the below link

Anybody else thinking about doing this one?

Have you entered the 100? We could perhaps discuss this on Saturday...

Aww, you can only enter if a parent or guardian accompanies you round the route if you're under 16 :sad:

Yes, it is, but only if you commit to accompany them at all times. This requires a special entry form so pleaseget in touch to organise this.

@Col5632 ???

I've not entered the event as yet, would love to give the 100 a bash and its looking like 1 of my only sportives this year.

Would depend what route you wanted to do James, i could be your supervision if you were doing the 100, scone airfield wont be an easy place to get to if you were planning on using public transport although saying that if you got to dline then me or mark could take you :bicycle:
