Matthew you've gone very quiet...

Sorry, I had to go and file 6g worth of metal off my new wheel so I didn't feel outdone by RecordAceFromNew. I mean, those spokes don't need to be that thick, right?

I think our scales claim to be accurate to 1g but I would tend to assume the error to be larger (maybe 3-5g) if I were doing an error analysis. The false impression of accuracy given by electronic measuring devices is one of the few bits of knowledge they've successfully drummed into me here.

In the spirit of supporting the thread's quest for bargains, I am willing to sell my scale for a reasonable price; anecdotal evidence suggests that it has the advantage of making EVERYTHING lighter :becool:

Get to Millets. 9 LED torch, runs on 3 AAAs (included), currrently half price at 3 quid. No bike mount, but it's got a softish rubber covering, so i reckon with zip ties or a strong rubber band of some sort, it could be bodged onto handlebars or a helmet, and the wrist strap will serve as a safety strap. It's bloody bright. Yes, I know you shouldn't look directly at it....

Looking online, it's cheaper, at £2.50, but I guess there's postage...

Torch arrived yesterday, fairly wide spread, but very small and bright. Ideal for helmet mounting, which is where mine is now.

That is when you spend £50.

Was in Sports Direct at the weekend and they have some nice Karrimor stuff in stock just now. I got a Karrimor High Viz cycling jacket in fluro orange. Reduced from £59.99 to £19.99. Looks to be very good for the price although I haven't tried it out yet.
