I used to have friends who live on council estates but I've moved on and I don't bother with them much anymore. Most of them are dead-legs and we've nowt in common. If they did ever need me they wouldn't know where or how to get hold of me either as I've moved a few times and I avoid facebook like the plague.
I bet they get their bin emptied if it's perched on the periphery of their drive (or back yard), unlike mine.

Can I refer you to my safe cycle system. If a women is driving a car - proceed with caution, which is what I do and I would do it with my own wife. Also, as a cyclist, I've ensured the privacy glass isn't as dark as the dealer was trying to advise me to have.

I have been tempted to run out with as many shiny banknotes that were in my wallet (which is probably depressingly few), and shout 'Merry Christmas guys, how many of you are there on the van' whilst counting some money out.

I'd then stop, look at my bin and say 'Oh... you've missed it'.

Cue the explanation of the 'pavement', the money being put back into pocket and bin being dragged down the drive.

Just to bring this back onto a positive note - After forgetting to position my bin 3 feet further south east and subsequently being awoken by the bin men who I overheard saying they wouldn't empty my bin, I used my initiative and dragged my bin to the next street without them spotting me and my bin has now been emptied. The bin man is probably happy that he thinks a posh bloke with a flash car has got a full bin for another week. I'm happy that I've got my bin emptied and I've outwitted a bin man and I think I've also changed a few attitudes on here towards the kind of person who drives an Audi Q7 4.2 TDI Quattro S Line.
