So in another 10 years time what is the value going to be on a 20 yr old ev with a fsh i wonder ?

Nice article on radio 2 earlier about how people are resorting to classic cars to avoid ULEZ etc etc charges being implied on ice vehicles

Odd question for this thread.
Perhaps you've read some more EV home truths in the Mail.
Not really. Truth and the Mail don't have a close partnership. This week they are running a daily hate campaign about EVs.
Today's offering is from Nadine Dorries. If I were on the same side as Nadine, I'd seriously consider whether that was the wrong side...

Anyway Nadine "handed back" her Renault Zoe with 5000 miles on the clock after trying to do a long distance journey in a cheap short range car and not planning where she needed to charge. Hence they are evil and hybrids are better. Natch.

What this means in practical terms is that if your classic is more than 40 years old and is registered for the historic vehicle tax class, you will not need to pay the ULEZ charge.

The key point there is 'more than 40 years old'.

In the 1960s, that would have put you in London to Brighton territory.

It now means you could run a car that is cheap and practical to use in today's conditions, albeit it would lack many of the comfort toys.

Retrofit some of those and Robert's your father's brother, as we used to say.

Complete clown. Wonders how many times she had called out the AA / RAC etc due to running out of petrol/diesel.

Must admit when that Bangers & Cash is on I often wonder what are people's long term plans for a £50,000 Escort RS2000 if petrol does "dry up"

What you all seem to be forgetting is that we will still need crude oil, possibly not as much but still needed. EV's will still need grease , plastic for its construction . They still run on tarmac and the majority of vehicles used to lay it run on diesel.
If you take a look to see what products are made from crude oil it is amazing . If the oil companies can't sell some of the products that come from crude oil then the costs will be passed on to other chemicals .

Cheap ! They are not. Yes mileage wise, they are for city use.
