That is so applicable to a former colleague of mine.
Just to be clear, he was a happily married family man, but he did meet a lot of nurses due to cycling. I recall one conversation which started "my neurosurgeon advises ... "

Graeme Souness once made a colossal error in taking JULIAN Dicks from West Ham but he was so awful, it seemed totally appropriate to sing 'Dicks out' whenever Souness was stupid enough to besmirch our team by actually putting him on the pitch.

I cycled to the off licence this afternoon and purchased a bottle of whiskey. I placed the bottle in the basket.
I mounted the bicycle and was just about to leave and the thought occurred to me that if I were to fall off, the bottle would break.
Just to be on the safe side, I drank all the whiskey before cycling home.
I'm pleased I had the foresight to have made this decision as I fell off several times as I made my way home.
