A colon can really change the meaning of a sentence.

Example:

"The marbles fell out of my pocket."

"The marbles fell out of my colon."

Friday morning and this middle aged man takes a beautiful young woman into the jewellers. He tells the jeweller "I want a beautiful ring for this beautiful woman".
The jeweller brings a nice ring and says it would cost £5K. The man says "you don't understand.... this woman deserves your best".
Jeweller brings a real sparkler declaring it would cost £40K. The man says "we will take it. I will pay by cheque, give you time to clear it, then we will collect the ring"
Monday morning the jeweller phones the man to tell him the cheque bounced as the account is empty.
The man says "yes, I know.....but can you imagine the weekend I had"?.

Our current Vlad was a takeaway delivery driver at one point I believe!

Back in the day I used to send emails to Attila the Hun.

True story! We were dealing with a Hungarian IT supplier, can't quite remember what we were buying, but they were pretty good. Their technical director was named Attila; a nice guy and very capable.

I guess the Hungarians see the original Attila the Hun as the great warrior/king who kicked the Romans out (after all "what did they ever do for us") whilst many with a more classical view of the world see him as a barbarian who sacked Rome
