Not funny at all. We also watched 20 minutes of the new Martin Clunes comedy, which we also didn't find funny. Whoever wrote it lacks any subtlety and has a very simplistic view of life.

Yes agree, neither programme up to expected standards.

And while we are on about rubbish tv, what about that tripe about a caravan site with Larry Lamb in it. Watched 5 minutes of the first episode and it made us cringe.

I have never found Martin Clunes funny in anything with the stand out exception of Men Behaving Badly. Partridge can be funny but his character is so cringeworthy I find it difficult to watch.

Situation comedy has gone downhill in recent years.

Comedy is very personal. What makes me laugh probably doesn't make you laugh and vice versa. You can't say someone "isn't funny". He just isn't funny to you

FWIW, I've liked Coogan's characters over the years and have found most of them funny. There is a whole heap of "comedy" I don't find funny (Last of the Summer Wine, Dad's Army, Mrs Brown's Boys etc etc) but they have their fans and that's fair enough

Sorry but I never knew what people saw in him. Never liked it and didn't find it funny at all. Needless to say I won't be watching the new series either. I saw a preview and was totally underwhelmed by it.

I hope that those that do like him enjoy the series though.
