Comedy is very personal. What makes me laugh probably doesn't make you laugh and vice versa. You can't say someone "isn't funny". He just isn't funny to you

FWIW, I've liked Coogan's characters over the years and have found most of them funny. There is a whole heap of "comedy" I don't find funny (Last of the Summer Wine, Dad's Army, Mrs Brown's Boys etc etc) but they have their fans and that's fair enough
Indeed. I didn't think "Warren" was funny at all, but my colleague said it was hilarious. I will give Partridge a go as I do find him funny. I've always loved Ricky Gervais, I think he's very clever and it's nice to see someone standing up for freedom of comedy

Episode 4 was the best one yet. Lots of little moments, when I realised what that song at the end was, I lost it.
Me too, and I know those rebel songs from my childhood ... I was cracking up

He's raised the bar of comedy considerably with this outing. I wept I was laughing so much at Monday's episode, it was sheer genius. He's on a different level now, a true comedy God.

Couple of chuckles but last week set a very high bar. Still loving Jennie's microexpressions and the total disrespect he gets from Ruth the roving reporter, though.
