If you never liked Coogan/Partridge why did you think this would be different. Its Partridge hes meant to make you uncomfortable.Ive allways liked him, used to love his early charachters,Pauline Calf ? Anyways it would be no good if everyone liked the same thing.First episode last night,ok give it time.Itll be worth the wait.

I think that's called "doing a Ricky"

The last person being James Corden

He's another one, is he funny because he's fat and loud? Ffs

I thought it was pretty good. His co-presenter was gorgeous too, which helped. It's still not as good as the original I'm Alan Partridge, with the Farmers etc, and the Geordie that was in the army. That was awesome. It's better than I thought it would be though. Good stuff..

James Corden isn't funny, that's just my opinion though. Was ok in Gavin and Stacey, but after that he's pretty dire, but not offending, but I'd change the channel if he came on all the same, like Ed Sheeran on the radio..
But mega popular so obviously a lot of people do find him entertaining

It's like Mrs Brown's Boys. I cannot watch it, too awful and not in the slightest funny....to my tastes. But hugely popular so a lot of people find the show entertaining. Not for me to project my preferences onto others

I honestly don't get Mrs Brown's Boys at all. My mother said it was great, I could just see an old man dressed as an unconvincing woman, not a lot else..

Comedy is very personal. What makes me laugh probably doesn't make you laugh and vice versa. You can't say someone "isn't funny". He just isn't funny to you
Completely true. Apart form Miranda, obviously. She's less funny than malaria.

Not sure that that's what you are supposed to be watching this sort of stuff/Alan Partridge for  - note, I'm not not playing the "sexist" card.

saw the first bit which seemed to skewer Shell and Partridge's brainless adoption of their noxious fake liberal PR - top marks for that. Understand this may have been a running gag - will try to catch up with the rest of the episode and series on iplayer.

Used to work with someone who though essentially a nice guy was prone to Partridge's blazer dress style/pose.

I wonder if it'll manage to attain the same level of quotability as I'm Alan Partridge had. In the first episode nothing came close to the level of "I've pierced me foot on a spiiiiike" or "No Alan you can't!"

Unfortunately IAP also has the kind of fanbase who thinks it's funny to shout "Dan! Dan! Dan!" at Stephen Mangan... for the past 17 years
