Hold on did you blow up going up the alp on zwift, you must of been going very hard
i was watching the left hand side of screen and i know roughly what i should be able to do wattage wise v heart rate . the watts were down and the heart rate higher than normal so at the end of each bend it was taunting me that i should do better even though hr was saying good effort , i didnt so much blow up as got fed up of not doing as well as i wanted so i bailed in a heart hearted hissy fit

Just rode outside, met office got it so wrong. Supposed to be dry, anything but. The only good thing was the exfoliating mud pack that I acquired over the very wet 32 miles.

Do we have any idea when "good" units will be available? I really like the idea of the climb unit but these reliability issues with the Kickr are a total deal breaker. Im not prepared to shell out a grand unless I'm more or less guaranteed a problem free purchase, I'm impressed with the patience on display by those having problems :okay:

That is bloody annoying :sad: . Ill report once ive tested it . They're supposed to be checking these replacement units

Did a nice PACK social ride today, think i may have been doing too many races in a row. May try an FTP builder as lots of people seem to be getting really good results.

Just noticed on zwiftpower the little panel with a visual of your PRs over different types of effort. Maybe its always been there but only just noticed it! probably didn't need it to tell me i'm shite on climbs but have a decent sprint. Interesting that my medium climb efforts are worse than they should be compared to long climbs.

In my bid to improve my power/stamina, and ride 60 mins at 250 watts, I've constructed my own workout. As I complete it at 100% I will continue to adjust it such that, the end game, is 250 watts for 60 mins. This is the starting position and today I completed this at 100%.

(a) 5 mins warm up
(b) 1 min 300 watts
(c) 6 mins 265 watts
(d) 15 mins 250 watts
(e) 5 mins 160 watts
(f) 2.5 mins 250 watts
(g) 2.5 mins 150 watts
(h) 2.5 mins 250 watts
(i) 2.5 mins 150 watts
(j) 2 mins 250 watts
(k) 2 mins 150 watts
(l) 2 mins 250 watts
(m) 2 mins 150 watts
(n) 2 mins 250 watts
(o) 2 mins 150 watts
(p) 2 mins 250 watts
(q) 5 mins 150 watts

Each time I complete this workout, for the next one I'll aim to add 30 secs to 1 minute to one of the 250 watt reps and reduce a 150 rep by the same time. Between 30 and 40 times of me doing this workout should see me hit my goal :training: As I get better at this, I should equally become a stronger racer, at least on the flatter races.

Weight still at 83kg this weekend, so no loss. Was hoping to be at 80 kg by Christmas, but looks like too many friends visiting, meals out etc putting a stop to that :mrpig: Not ideal, but overall target is still 75 kg by ToC so loads of time left yet for that. I'll use Dean as inspiration :notworthy:

Set the realism to 0%, then you can do this on pretty much any course (flat or hilly). :okay:

I didn't want to mention it on this side but after I bailed on the Unicorn ride I did a nice easy Bkool video ride in the Netherlands. As soon as I saw your workout I thought it would be a perfect fit.
Thanks again. Also in the same boat as far as weight loss. At 201 pounds -we're the same height - my plan is taking off 20 pounds by the double devil. But with the holidays it'll be tough. I love the peppermint chocolate candy. And everyone makes Christmas Cookies.
