I am not sure the N2 offers enough over a discounted N1 to justify a £350 difference. Pedal dynamics? It is said Some of the strongest and fastest pros have less than ideal pedal stroke. You love your climbing though so perhaps wahoo is best for you. At least you would be buying with knowledge of issues with the turbo and can get them resolved if you are unlucky enough to be affected.

I agree

Dcrainmaker suggests that there might be more to get from the neo 2 as time goes on. Maybe it has the capacity to do things the neo 1 doesn’t with its new internal parts. But maybe that means future issues too? Who knows... but the neo one is a great bit of engineering I think. It’s proven to work as in at this moment it’s the leader of the pack.

@Aleman having said all that... that’s from my perspective. I don’t want the wahoo climb. From your perspective I think you’d regret it if you don’t get the climb.

There are two common issues with the 2018 silent Kickr, knocking/clunking noise. This has been acknowledged and there is a kit to remedy the issue
The second issue is vibration-not so common, but potentially a bigger issue is there is a fundamental design problem

Wahoo are interested in my findings and Im in communication with them . They have made positive noises about wanting to ensure I have a solid reliable turbo for the long term . Im waiting for them to comment to on my repairs.

Aleman if I was you and you wanted the climb, look at getting the 2017 kickr(proven tested design), it is compatible with the climb

Using a powerline adapter and Ethernet? I swift in my loft via powerline and Ethernet to laptop without issue. Tried two WiFi boosters, cheap then expensive, beforehand but too many dropouts
Don't know why it is so hard to make a stable wifi booster, but haven't managed to find one yet.

DO you know if this design fault is replicated in the Kickr core

We use a wifi booster to take WiFi to the rear of the house and it just about copes. Those mesh networks look good but really don’t want to spend the money.

Anyone racing tonight? I'm doing the DBR race at 7:05 UK. Nice and flati(ish) route as it is 12 x LaGuardia Loop, which is a route you can not ride outside an event.

I'll livestream my pathetic performance on my YouTube channel. You can find a recording of yesterday's "age" race there as well...

I read this to my wife just now as we sit drinking our morning coffee thinking she may understand my need to get a Neo to keep up with the Jones.
her reply was "Did you get up and ride this morning?" Knowing I didnt. " Couldn't you NOT ride the Neo without actually buying it"
By the same argument you could have issues with your Bkool necessitating a NEO replacement without actually having an issue
