I know you guys are anxious to know how my operation went. What do you mean you hadn’t remembered :smile:

I won’t be cycling for a while. I may go mad! That meniscus tear was “significant “, whole length/width so there’s a fair bit of stitching. Absence of an ACL means the surgeon was concerned the meniscus repair was vulnerable to looseness of the knee joint. So, I have to wear this brace for 6 weeks while it heals. I wasn’t warned about this beforehand but makes sense. At the moment and for next few weeks the brace will restrict the degree of knee movement to 60 degrees. Then it will be loosened up to allow greater movement. That debris from the cyst and bits of shredded meniscus would apparently fill 3 espresso cups:laugh: Telling me that only made me want coffee:biggrin:

Anyway, so glad to have the operation out the way. As usual, once in a hospital the treatment from all I came across was superb. We really are very very lucky to have out NHS. I certainly felt lucky today.

Bloody hell:heat:

Well done everyone

Lee, cracking time:okay:

I only spotted @Brusgaard, caught him a couple of times, then legs went with 3 miles to go :B)

Tough course with those medium long climbs
Yeah, didn't see those hills on the profile. A bit of a mental knock in the head when you didn't expect them, and hitting them when already in red zone :B).

With your physical condition i believe your recovery happens faster than usual

Been doing workouts so legs were tired going into this so took the ride as a recovery. Caught up Chris fairly early into first climb and rode with/near him for the majority :okay: After 30 mins almost gave up, but carried on anyway and did finish. A decent workout all the same. Well doen everyone :wahhey:

I enjoyed that and good to be back in the saddle after a weekend off , I saw you pass me and tried my best to stay with you ,but that last KOM right at the top did me and I just saw your time increasing the gap, I had already rode up there in my pre race warm up ,look forward to the next one ,
Well done all

Been suffering drop outs when in group rides - gave up on the NYC stages after it binned my off on the first ride within yards of the finish - all the riders vanished. Been having similar issues when entering a group ride, riders would vanish. Took an age to get on properly tonight, and lost about 30 minutes trying to connect. Argh

If riders disappear, then its a poor internet connection. I used to get it, but now tether with 4g on my phone. A faster connection and alot more reliable where I live

noob question, but when you guys send me Ride-On's while I'm peddling away, how come you don't show up in my followed list when I try and return the favour? I suspect I'm doing it wrong, but hey ho...

Good session this evening, I'm in week 5 now and haven't missed a workout yet :okay: Week 1 session 1 I averaged 131W @ 158bpm, today I'm at 162W @ 128bpm so pretty significant improvement thus far it seems..! Irritatingly I'm off to Hungary on business early Monday to Thursday afternoon so I'll miss at least the first workout of week 6  I'm going to try and get an extra sesh in on Sunday night before I go to minimise the impact, then will tick the "I did it" box in Zwift  Sunday also happens to be my 36th birthday, a trip to Hungary wasn't top of my present list
