I think we’re looking for something sub1 like. I know we all have to start somewhere, but I couldn’t help but laugh when she came back from the dungeon cursing that she was overtook by a runner :giggle:.

How dare you! I'll have you know there is nothing wrong with a runners punishment pass

Happened to me a few times in the recovery segments on TrainerRoad merge with Zwift. There is nothing you can do, held at a certain wattage:laugh:

I've started a 12 week training programme on Zwift from today. Must admit I do like the Zwift workouts, really do make me work hard! I'm less bothered about getting more power, more interested in losing some weight. Good luck getting your fitness back, and would be great to see you on some races going forward when you feel ready :okay:

The biggest factor in losing weight is diet over excersise. It’s boring. Cut out snacks. Drink water. Avoid sugar as much as possible.

A few years ago a guy in his 70’s overtook me going up a short hill. In fact I’d gotten off to push while he continued to cycle :B). Now sometimes when I’m struggling going up a hill i think about that so I keep pushing. Maybe the thought of being overtaken by runners will motivate your wife to keep going

I tried cutting out sugar completely within 3 days I was totally exhausted, going to bed at 8pm and sleeping through the night I was like this for a few days till I had some sugar in my diet again and I was fine afterwards.

So now I'm gradually cutting it out.

Yep, I'm on that too. Having been as heavy as 16 stone and getting down to current weight I know that food is far more important than exercise. Stopped buying biscuits and sweet things. Trying to manage portion sizes.

Did ToNY stage 1 today and didn't know what to expect after a long week of races and workouts, but decided to give it a go for 20 min and take it from there.
Ended up right at the front and saw Lee there. At the first sign of a hill I got dumped and decided to do the rest as a 5min on/5min off workout. Surprisingly I didn't loose too many places from there. Went from 23th to 58th.
I bet Lee stayed with that front group up that hill. Lee, see on ZP you ended in 9th - strong riding there :notworthy:.

Just finished t and about to do Stage 2 in 15 minutes.

How far did you ride? I'm sure my ride got screwed up. I ended u riding 25 miles/40kms. At one time the miles were increasing when I was riding. The they start to drop as expected. The suddenly near the end I moved from being around 200th to 8th!

I ended up going over the KoM arch 4 times! Absolutely f***ed at the end!!

When I checked my time at the end I'm 20 to 25 minutes behind some riders. Very odd.

another little trick is to get some smaller plates that will help with portion size I use my smaller plates during the week and the bigger plates for a weekend treat curry etc remember it don't hurt to have a cheat day once a week
