I think ill give this a go as knowing someone else doing it with help keep me motivated that was what I liked most about the ZA
Need to have a look at it, but it sounds like what I need ... Will then switch after the 12 weeks to the Grand Fondo 100/200 in the new year. Throw in a couple of BRVR climbs a week and I'll be sorted.

Did ToNY stage 1 today and didn't know what to expect after a long week of races and workouts, but decided to give it a go for 20 min and take it from there.
Ended up right at the front and saw Lee there. At the first sign of a hill I got dumped and decided to do the rest as a 5min on/5min off workout. Surprisingly I didn't loose too many places from there. Went from 23th to 58th.
I bet Lee stayed with that front group up that hill. Lee, see on ZP you ended in 9th - strong riding there :notworthy:.
there was one group ahead but there was no way i was strong enough to bridge the gap - i was one of the slowest in our group and everytime i took the front , the pace slowed so i did more than my fair share of drafting  - cant understand a 6 mile run in ? it was frantic from the off
thats me done the toNY all stages ! do i get a badge ? or a good hearty cheer ^_^

No oddities in my ride. Sounds like Zwift "Bkool'ed" you ^_^
I think you're right.

I had a quick scan through the final times and I'm more than 20 minutes behind people I was riding with on the Stage!

I've sent a support request to Zwift to see if they can sort out what happened.

Same plan as I have with the grand fondo, I’m trying to do the workouts early morning and leave every other evening for a few group rides/races. :okay:

RW ride today has left me in a dilema, still need to do stage 3. Is today last chance??

same here and stage 3 is a tough 1 did think my legs would have been ok as I only done 36 miles with 3300ft but it was very windy and with battling the wind has taken its toll on me so looks like im miss out

A few years ago a guy in his 70’s overtook me going up a short hill. In fact I’d gotten off to push while he continued to cycle :B). Now sometimes when I’m struggling going up a hill i think about that so I keep pushing. Maybe the thought of being overtaken by runners will motivate your wife to keep going

A couple of years back on a club ride we were joined by willesden cycle club, I was pushing up this steep hill and couldn't talk when one of the guest riders overtook me, he was well into his seventees. Back at the cafe at the end of the ride I found out he was Wiggins coach for long time and had raced himself. I didn't feel quite so useless then.
