A frustrating morning that came good. Started a fasted workout and interrupted repeatedly by work ( well I was working from home:rolleyes:) so had to bail. Decided to ride stage 3 of the Tour and had a blast. Fast and furious working together with a nice little group, all taking turns. Knackered but in a good way.^_^

I doubt to be honest i could do it, how long is the climb?

For me 1-8 to 1-18 at 4.8 to 4w.2 w/k. Looking to beat a minute in the next few weeks. The rest is more or less flat and will suit your power. Also, I took 12 seconds on most of my group on the climb and they caught me by the sprint showing the advantage of weight on the descents.
It’s a great racing course though the long drag to the finish is a killer, stretching out before you. My group went unexpectedly early at 700m almost dropping me and I needed a power up to get back on. Lesson learnt.

Andy - i know you are busy working out a route for your trip next year and thought you might be interested in this - i just tried out a route that was generated by cycle.travel
bloody brilliant ! - it tells you how many miles on main roads and footpaths - works out the quietest routes and you can drag the route to bump into where ever you want to visit
105 miles and just over 1 mile on an A road , and i had to walk about 500yds
really was impressed with it - a real help on roads you don't know

I'll have look Lee, cheers. Ive being using Strava because it plots routes that cyclists use . The more route ideas the better. This isn't a blast fest for me, just a trundle down around the country

ta :okay:

The problem with that though Andy, especially if you head my way, is you could end up on the A303 :eek: Not all cyclists used sensible, safe roads :blush:
