What Whorty said. zsunR now have permission to run some closed races for members but it was a long time sorting against a background of club membership and group rides going back to the beta days of Zwift.
We can still use Zwift preferences to go off grid and set up our own races this winter-it’s just thy won’t show up officially in zwiftpower, if that matters.

I may have to join ZSUNR ..... but would I have to relinquish CycleChat membership in Zwiftpower?

You have to be nominated and accepted into zsunr. That normally happens once you have joined zsun and ridden with them often enough engaging in banter when you do. It’s not dissimilar to you lot here, the group perhaps looking a little intimidating (!) but in fact quite welcoming and anxious to have fresh blood/victims! They do like you to wear the zsun kit and ride as a zsun member in races though.

What you might want to do is find out from Zwift if you can design and use a CC kit.

Zwiftcast up with a reminder the New York course is coming soon.
TBH I don’t mind the smallish number of courses. There’s enough variety for me and I can always use Zwift preferences to ride a map that’s not available. Familiarity, especially on the more lumpy courses invites me to try some race craft and riding to my relative strengths.
