ZA#4 on Sat. First one with the "free ride" section to encourage you to hit the best you can over the interval. 25s in this case. The comments prior to the interval indicated this should be >2X your FTP. I was pretty sure this was low and I'd already cranked up the bias to 110% for the practice intervals. Based on data in GoldenCheetah I figured I could "easily" break 2.5X FTP, or around 600W. I hit 676, just a hair shy of 3X my FTP the first effort, and 633, 2.75X FTP on the second effort.
Did my final group ride Monday. Nothing much to report other than the leader went out like a bat out of hell and it was a huge effort at the start for everyone to catch up. Quite annoying. Once caught we stayed in the 2.0-2.5 w/kg range, but I was ready to bail and likely would have if we hadn't settled in.
ZA#5 today. It's a lot like ZA#4, but with adjustments for the target interval being 1 minute. Figured my magic number was around 400W, or 1.75X ftp. Uncorked 441W on the first effort and 421W on the second effort. Well short of my all time best 1M effort of 589W, but still good efforts. FWIW that 589W effort was in one of the races over on bkool a couple years ago.
Resting Wed. Going to focus on the workouts. Probably won't do the races until the last week.
