I'm just getting back into pedalling with a few gentle miles into our local town. I can tell I've lost alot of fitness, legs and lungs ache anything beyond pottering speed

Trainer Road this week coming-not looking forward to the ramp test:cry:

Kickr belt tension setup guidance(for Carl)

Use Genuine Wahoo Belt £55

This will vary possibly depending on which Kickr you have. Remove the 3 Allen (2.5mm) case screw in the drive side and 2 small cross head screws on the flywheel side.

This is my Kickr with many thousands of miles use.

The Kickr still performs fine and has no slippage of the belt

Here is the measurement of belt tension currently before adjustment. Measure just above hole in plastic case from outside edge-see image
I also used a steel rule to add further pressure, it was 17mm

I would adjust the belt to have between 13mm-16mm of play, but as you can see upto 17mm with a belt the Kickr is still performing fine

You could always sign up to Sufferfest trial and do their 4DP test. 6-7 day build up and then an hour plus of hurt to get numbers across the board.

Aiming for ZA workout #6 at 12:30 then group ride at 14:00. Gonna hurt!!! But I have to do this group ride today as there just don't seem to be many more planned.

Yep, that hurt. Wasn't looking forward to workout #6 and for good reason. 4 intervals of 4 minutes at watts of 260, 270, 280, 275 respectively ..... followed that workout with a ZA group ride which thankfully was at 2.2 w/kg average only. Legs tired now, and I'm peckish as had nothing to eat prior to ride. Garlic kiev and steamed new spuds for tea :hungry:

#6 was as painful as I thought it would be. 4 x 4 minute intervals at over 100% of your FTP (mine is set at 243) so had to maintain 260, 270 then 280 watts (the last interval I had to drop down to 250 watts for the last minute). Then a free ride of 4 minutes where I averaged 273 watts. I had to then do the group ride as I got kicked off last night due to a power cut in the village and I wanted to finish the 4 group rides of the academy.

Just 3 workouts to do now :tongue: Unfortunately these are the hardest 3 :surrender:

Surely that wasn’t the last lot of group rides was it? I’ve only done 3. I thought it ran till end of sept?

It should, but the only other one I could find is 8am tomorrow morning. No other ones seem to be planned in yet. Saying that though, the guy leading last night at 7pm said he was leading rides every Friday through the ZA so maybe they just haven't been added to the calendar yet?

Must have updated it today. When I looked this morning they were showing the afternoon ride and one tomorrow morning. Thought there should be more but guessed they just hadn't updated the calendar yet :okay: Anyway, done 4 group rides so just need to do workouts #8, #9, #10 and possibly try the Innsbruck Tour and see if I can get that top :biggrin:
