how does zwift change ur ftp cos mine is 207 but ive had 20 minutes section over 215 but my ftp still shows 207
I don't know but my massive 1 watt improvement was after a 30 minute session. I assume there must be a minimum time period its measured over, as it was in Bkool? I think that was 30 minutes?

Zwift will notify you on screen of an ftp increase and apply it automatically. It applies 95% of your best 20min effort for ftp; 20 min at 215 watts yields an ftp of 204 so that wouldn't trigger an upgrade.

It will come back Jeff, just start building a base through early part of autumn/winter and then add in HIT later part into spring. Keep the low intensity mileage through out the year.

That is my plan, as August will be virtually no cycling, so will lose condition. I will try and get into gyms for a quick spin where possible in August.
I don't have a real concrete plan at the moment. Base building (at least in the traditional sense) likely requires more miles/time than I can probably dedicate to riding.

I'm going to be unable to race LittleC this year due to family commitments, so there's no sense in worrying about training or trying to improve my times on that ride this year. So I think my time over the next few months will be spent just having as much fun as I can, which likely means racing in zwift as much as possible. I'll ponder training in the more traditional sense probably in the winter again.

Had a mid-pack finish in the KISS EUR today which felt better than prior efforts. Still way down on power, but the best effort since the PE. My race time on that course just a few months ago would have put me in contention for the win. Sigh. Stuck with the fast group (including the gent I expected to win) for just 8 minutes. Didn't see Whorty, but he must have been around somewhere as I did pick up his ride on encouragement...

Looks like the new category limits are in place, and I'm not hitting the bottom of the C group anymore. Not sure what to make of the skills rankings yet. I can't see any strong reason to drop down into D. I'm just going to keep plugging away in C, extending the time I'm sticking with the leaders until I'm competitive again.

Good to see a few more riders showing up, but it's still a much smaller field than a few months ago. B had a good sized group. D was almost non-existent, A & C were clearly small. It looks like a larger percentage of racers are allowing ZP to pull their data than last week which is good and I expect that trend to continue.

Off on vacation with the family for the next week (rafting on the snake river). Expecting to be racing in the KISS EUR on Aug 2.

ps. Thought I saw Bridgy briefly in the KISS EUR last week, but he's not in the results. Guessing he hasn't authorized ZP to pull data from the races yet...

There is a WBR hilly @ 5.10pm. I might have a go in. Ive not properly raced for quite a few months, so not expecting great results, just see if I can muster some power. Its only a maybe due to meal at 6.30 at local restaurant

Seems I may have had something wrong with my knee...;)
Just seen consultant who has signed me off for surgery to replace missing AcL ligament. That involves cutting out and using bits of my hamstrings  At same time will repair meniscus tear, cut out and remove cyst and then clean out knee joint. He apologised for shoddy treatment I have received over last few years saying I had an interesting knee, one he wants to put right!
I have to decide whether to go with ACL reconstruction. He suggested not absolutely necessary and so up to me. Minimum 6 weeks in a knee brace though even for the surgery lite option. I just hope I don’t get offered a date for surgery before the Alp D’Huez trip.

Bob,
Over here they are also using patella tendon and donor ligaments as an option.
