You all need to try the ring . I did it on a r1200gs and felt like a snail

Done that on my FJR1300, unless you know the course you will be slower. I got overtaken and left for dead by a guy riding a 400 with a pizza delivery box on the back. He knew each bend and what speed he could carry into the blind bends. I on the other hand didn't and had to go much slower

It's important to get the pizza there as fast as possible so it's still hot.

Trying to explain the ring to someone who has never been there and done the course, is like trying to explain the colour blue to a blind person. Words just fail you.

The biggest disappointment was watching several high end super cars go past the toll entry area at full chat, as they were on an experience day so were doing several consecutive full laps, and the engine/exhaust not being that loud :huh:, it appeared to be all tyre noise .

Some 1 min pain for kicks :-)

Actually zwiftpower's new Skills section includes points for 1-5-20 min power (both absolute and w/kg) during events so hence the effort to bag a few bonus points.

Great power @uclown2002! But I think you may have been hacked. There seems to be a naked man humping his pet dog in the corner of the screen

Looks like @Norry1 @Whorty and @bridgy all had PBs on the Zwift race today. Congratulations.
I got stuffed by @bridgy (by 10 mins) and @Norry1 (by 1.5 mins). Hilly course just not my terrain to race but it was the only one on offer at that time. I started slow and watched Norry pull away up the road. I settled into a nice pace knowing I'd need all my energy for the 2 climbs up Box Hill. A tough course when you're 85 kg - I pushed slightly more watts, on average, than Norry but he had better w/kg which really tells on the hills.

Officially on ZP I was last rider in, but on the road I was (I think) about 29 out of 49. I caught and beat a B cat rider on the last couple of KM and there were quite a few C and D riders well back, but unfortunately still too many riders not registered with ZP (damn that GDPR!)

Sorry, hadn't even realised you and @Norry1 were in the same race! Not very observant plus I only just got Zwift up and running in time for the event - think I joined with 2 minutes to go so not much of a warm up!! Well done on your rides

@Whorty I think the main difference was I remembered to get a really fast start and then got in with a decent group. My average power was pretty poor - may be a reaction to a big week in the Alps where my TSS was nearly 900. I struggled to hit FTP for the 2 "intervals" up Box Hill.

There were about 20 C starters so a bit sad to see only 5 showing on the results. I seem to recall I finished something like 23rd out of 49.

I only saw @bridgy in the results as well
