How can the guy in first increase by 71, the guy in 8th increase by 47, yet 3rd to 7th only increase by 3 or 4? Just can't trust ZRS, they really do seem to be clueless if they think that's sensible.
Chap who won I think made a break away and held off 80 chasers  I didn't see him go as I stayed at the back of the 80 strong pack for 90% of the race but that's what someone said on the chat.

That makes sense looking at his numbers. He didn't have a sprint, but pushed a lot of power to stay away.

My sprint was rubbish looking at those numbers :banghead: Had loads more in the legs but got confused as couldn't see the blue barrier and I flew through the pack and seemed others weren't pushing so I thought I'd gone too early and the finish was somewhere else lol Good workout though.

The higher increases will be due to power upgrades. People being moved to a new floor if they increase their 5m power significantly.

Races are just getting shorter and shorter.
This is just a bit of fun. I've always liked short and smashy.

I was looking for something decent, over 40km for tomorrow after work. But most likely will end up doing a longer workout instead as there just doesn't seem to be a lot of longer events out there anymore.

It's impossible to please everyone. That's why I host "the races I want to do" and hope some people will join.

If you can't find what you want to do, that might be the way to go.

Your race Carl was a minute faster than mine. We didn't have the same numbers around 37 in the lead pack.

I was pretty comfortable with the pace in my event. . You should be chuffed with that result from such a big pack.

I agree with Alex re those riders getting new PBs for power figures, then big zrs points upgrade.

There are many riders still being shuffled in categories through lack of racing history or new ISH members

But isn't that akin to CE, where lighter riders needed to push more power to stay with a pack on flatter routes?
I still don't get why they are using power numbers still for ZRS moves? Why don't they just use results? makes no sense - they may have just used CE if the ranking is still influenced by power?

No. Because a compound score is a lot fairer than straight w/kg - also the 5m period is much more accurate as it encompasses those with a strong anaerobic bias.

The 5m compound score power upgrades are there to get people who are really strong moved more quickly. It works brilliantly in vELO.

It's a combination of results and power figures.

I think we had something like 135 starters with 80 ish in the lead group. I was working hard (not riding enough lol) but never at risk of getting dropped. I knew once we got to the end my sprint should get me close to top 10. Annoyed I lost concentration and didn't do a full out sprint

I may have to do that race again

Happy New Year everyone!! Very limited racing for me on Zwift lately - just one in the past month. Mainly been using Zwift for workouts for a homemade training plan and commuting to/from work when the weather isn’t forecasting rain.
My monthly subs ends on 10 January which coincidently lands just before a 2 week holiday in Tenerife - ah the joys of having grown up kids! 😎 Anyways I’ve cancelled Zwift for the time being and will see what February brings. I’ve previously used IndieVelo prior to it becoming TPV, and this evening I’ve downloaded MyWhoosh onto the ATV and set up an account. Major downfall at the moment is inability to import workouts and the thought of trying to programme them as custom workouts with the ATV remote fills me with dread.

Check out https://mywhooshinfo.com/workouts and see if there isn’t already stuff to use. Don’t you have a computer where you can create workouts?

I think TrainingPeaks and/or TrainerDay workouts exports to MyWhoosh somehow.
