I was wearing the same to go from the train to the car

Enjoy the crisp air ride :okay:

Was nice to be outside after being cooped up indoors for a while. With the right gear on - including heated motorbike gloves my son gave me for Christmas - it was fine. The gloves are a bit clunky but fine for riding in the cold. The sun was out so needed to be used. But it was only 1°C so no road biking on slicks.

I fancied the look of the INOX 1 mile races, but they are at 1655, which is later than I like to race.

So seeing as it's Friday tomorrow, I've created a 2.0km race for Cyclopathy Friday Smash

All one pen (@Peter Salt take note ). Steering OFF. No draft. Just a balls out 2km mass start iTT at 1030 tomorrow.
I'll give that a shot if I remember.

Finish line should be about halfway through the Desert sprint?

I struggle with the cold air on the lungs, plays merry hell with the asthma. A snood and face mask is a must!

If you're into to star an planet gazing. Tonight might be almost perfect. I've seen with the naked eye, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Uranus -nit fully dark yet. I'm getting out the telescope later.

Messed up the sprint doh. I came through the group but no one else looked to be sprinting, and the finish didn't have the 'blue' gate, so I held my power instead of pushing on. Should have come second but probably too far back to take first.
135 starters. I was on my limit the whole way, very fast pace. HR high.

Edit: I only seem to have gained 3 ZRS points. That feels totally wrong.

+4 but I agree that is low for 3rd place out of 125 riders. There seems to be an issue that you get bigger allocations of points for races with fewer people in, which doesn't make logical sense to me. The rider who won must have been crap at drafting. He was lighter than you and pushed almost 40W more on average. Still - that's really good to podium in such a large race.

How can the guy in first increase by 71, the guy in 8th increase by 47, yet 3rd to 7th only increase by 3 or 4? Just can't trust ZRS, they really do seem to be clueless if they think that's sensible.
Chap who won I think made a break away and held off 80 chasers  I didn't see him go as I stayed at the back of the 80 strong pack for 90% of the race but that's what someone said on the chat.
My sprint was rubbish looking at those numbers :banghead: Had loads more in the legs but got confused as couldn't see the blue barrier and I flew through the pack and seemed others weren't pushing so I thought I'd gone too early and the finish was somewhere else lol Good workout though.

Races are just getting shorter and shorter.

I was looking for something decent, over 40km for tomorrow after work. But most likely will end up doing a longer workout instead as there just doesn't seem to be a lot of longer events out there anymore.
