Did stage 1 of Flat is Fast today on Tempus Fugit. Found that with the new variable racing score pens, I could enter D at 160 - 270 (my score at the start of today was 250), which meant I was likely to be in with a shot at being competitive. Plus being a heavyweight on a flat course wouldn't hurt either.
It was certainly the right group for me - went at about the pace I'd expect for anywhere between a high-D and a mid to low-C in the old system. Stayed with the lead group all the way through, expending as much energy as I used to in a ZRL race (e.g. right on my limit but not having to cross any red lines at the same time) and the closest I came to being dropped was going to be only if I lost concentration at any time.
Front group got whittled down to 50 or so by the time the sprint started and I gave it a go, but I only had enough in the legs to do 5.5w/kg compared to the 8's that some guys could do and I ended up 16th (13th on ZP).
