I've climbed some ridiculously steep hills in my time, where every pedal stroke lifts the front wheel. Dragon ride up the Elbow or Arse, cant remember which one  got up it non stop- only just. A road in Gran Canaria was the same wheelie territory, but what a view once I crested. A few others too

You don't know your arse from your elbow?

Epic KoM tomorrow for those who like to climb. I haven't decided about next week yet. All these sodding hills are killing my vELO progress

Couple of steep ones in Shaftesbury - Gold Hill and one round the back, 20% hurts the legs and lungs for sure!

I've realised I can't make next week, I don't get home until late that afternoon from a trip to Malta
I'm 50/50 tomorrow. I'm signed up but will decide later tomorrow. I'll be off the back anyway so no one will miss me

Did you start somewhere near the town and do the long drag first then the hairpins ?
Yep, it starts at St Giles' Primary School, and the first minute or so really isn't too steep. Then it gets ridiculous. The only road I've ridden which is like it is Waterley Bottom near Dursley, but that's much shorter.

Ironically, at Riber, the crap road surface is a bit of a boon because it gives you a bit of extra grip!

I'm away on Holiday around Whitby so won't be on the start tomorrow night

Donkey Road?

I have to Google it , it's hilly round here just done a 13 miler with over 1300ft of upness including a lovely 17 to 20 % ramp , I'm quite happy I've gone 12 speed with a lower bottom gear

You need to spend 5 mins re indexing your chain line. Super crunchy today.

Well done taking the league 👍

Nah it's worse than that. I think it's a new gear cable needed for the rear D/R. I'll be looking at that later. I've not changed anything on the bike and I've got 13.8k miles on it - nearly all of it indoor and I'm pretty sure the cable has started to go at the shifter end. It was even worse after the race. Time to check it out.
