. I needed a tiny recovery, before trying again. I find these finishes where I go into the red zone to hang on and then there is another minute of so to finish line extremely tough.
There was another rider G Rabie, who tried my early attack tactic. He was got 5 secs lead on the whole pack and faded badly like my previous attempt, finished behind me.
There was one uplifting aspect, I was the first 50+ age group finisher, well seen as I'm in my 60th year
