I’m tempted to jump on the Aethos/Meilensteins, and do it just so I can try sending 600W up the first KOM, surging up through the draft, to see what kind of time I can get. Definitely wouldn’t be riding for two hours though…

Bikes are neutralised.
Ah yes, of course! I guess the steed they put you (everyone) on is fairly decent, though. Could be worth it for a giggle. Do As and Bs go off together? If not, you’d definitely have to go easy a bit at the start, so as to make sure you’re in draft all the way up the climb.

Each pen goes out separately, 60s apart. Still, the groups are large enough to have a crack at what you described.

It's lovely. Long and flat and the only hills are punchy. Definitely suits someone I know

Only problem is that there's only today or tomorrow to do it which is a bit annoying.

[EDIT]

Signed up for the 9am one.

I'm doing Chasing Sanremo (Big Foot Hills, 69.9km, 714m) next Saturday 1030. Did it last year in 1:57 in a nice gruppetto .
Mass start and Joakim Lisson was in the pen, so I got spat pretty quickly. I don't have video as it was a bit too long for the iPad, but I will stream it this time, all being well. Judging by yesterday, I might do a little better. (Over 1hr40 yesterday I had 12W more than previous PB).

So I tried, but massively mistimed my effort so that I was ahead well before the second switchback. The legs I had on Friday weren’t there either, and I could only manage a 1:43.
