I'm going cycling when I'm on holiday in September, but it's not a cycling holiday if you see what I mean.

There's a bike shop near Orlando that not only rents out top end road bikes, but also they will plan a route for you that takes you on safe but still interesting roads with a decent coffee stop mid-way. And if you pay a little bit extra, one of the team will pick you up from your hotel and also go out on the ride with you to make sure you don't get lost and point out anything cool en route.

Rode with them twice the last time I was in Florida and had a great time, although you have to start quite early to avoid the worst of the heat! Definitely going for at least one more ride this trip with them.

My sister lives near Orlando. You'll have to post the company name Steve

Did a D race yesterday, I forgot how hard racing is! Tried to keep up with a group of B’s and soon got spat out through the C’s and a couple of D’s and ended up with 3 other D’s. I just sat in the group and outsprinted them at them at the end. Funny how the mind thinks you can do something but the lungs say you can’t

You know when you have a good race, the result doesn't really matter, because it was a good old battle. Well today on the Innsbruck short loop, that happened. It was a small group 8, I think started. Seeing that there were a couple of women and some rather lightweight looking Korean men, I decided to push for a minute or so and see what happened.

Another rider from Australia came with me and we pushed the pace for a couple of minutes, another french rider tagged on behind. The yds grew till we were 10 secs ahead, 20, then 30 secs at the base of the first climb.

I was expecting our gap to dwindle but the pace was pretty good and held the same gap over the crest.

Come lap 2 we were now 50 sec in front. We could relax a little, our flat cruising speed better than theirs. Time grew, come 2nd climb another strong pace, I held on, but could already tell the other two with me were stronger on the climb. Lap 3 climb saw one of us drop off, thankfully it wasn't me. ^_^

Now there were two. Lap 4 climb my fellow rider dropped back and made a surge with a feather to slingshot past. I managed to get his wheel and deployed aero near the top, but he was too strong and gapped me over the crest. with around 5 secs gap, I stopped pedalling to lower my maxing HR. Then surged again over the small bump and caught him at the sprint. I decided I would try and drop him on the flat once I had recovered, no chance he was upto it and pushed 7W/kg to latch onto my wheel. Final climb 5 I just couldnt hold his wheel with about a third left. This time the gap was too big over 10 secs, gassed I tried to keep a decent pace to finish strong rolled in 2nd.

Now my rider who beat me has a completely private Zwift profile and isn't on ZP.

So I'm 1ST on ZP 🥇 ( that's where it counts- right ;))

I wouldn't minded 2nd, given it was a good battling race, but

I will take my victory calmly with reflection :hyper::hyper::hyper:
