What did you think of Philipsen's behaviour? People are saying the breakaway win was excellent karma payback.

I don't mind if I see more breakaway win and karma payback today as well. That would be enormously satisfying.

I was able to get out a 1100W sprint. Looking at the critical power, it flat- lined, I was picking up cadence so something went wrong with the peak power reading.

How are you getting on Steve? I'm doing badly in my league 13th out of about 20 with 8316 points.
Only managed to pick the winner once on TT day.

Only managed to pick the winner once on TT day.

I'm in the league run on Velogames.com where I'm in the top 2,000 out of about 30,000 competitors, plus more importantly am running 5th (out of 39) in the Cyclechat league.

Need to look up how many bonus points there are for the winning the TdF because I have Vingegaard and none of the four teams ahead of me do (they've all got Pogacar, who currently has more points somehow). Not sure it'll be enough to take 1st place, but hopefully I'll jump one or two of the other teams at the end.

Just riden my first portal climb . Col de Avaris , not sure about the graphics . First long sustained effort for a while so quite happy at almost 20mins dead for the climb 189w AVG ,2.6wkgs , paced it quite well heart rate steady in the 160s and power around 210 on the steep bits and had a bit left to manage over 300w from the last banner to the finish

Well done Phil. I've found the climb portal a great way to level up. With it raining today, I hit Trebiac four more times and that was enough to push me up to level 42, which was my target. I reached 40 in June and thought I might reach 42 towards the end of the year, but all these 250XPs on the climb portal have made it possible much sooner. Finally got the coveted DT Swiss disc wheel 😁

I just missed out on top spot - despite having the yellow jersey, polka dot jersey and green jersey winners, the bonus points gained from those still left me shy of the title by a tiny amount.
