Note the current KOM for the segment would have came 4th at the TDF

Comms saying that the bike change could have cost Poggy as much as 15 seconds. If that is somewhere close their times up the climb weren’t that far off. I wonder why Pog didn’t give it the beans on the flat in the earlier stages.

Was a great TT to watch, well it was good from Wout onwards!

I don't think the change made any difference.

But you definitely need to write to the team and say that the strategy was all wrong. All he had to do is 100W more throughout and he would have won. Simple! ;)

I really enjoy the close racing at the head of the race, wish there was a third person to mix it up a bit. I cant quite warm to Vinegaard as much as Pod, maybe his outright do or die attempts appeals to me

If Vingegaard had hair tufts sticking out of his helmet it would be a different story.

I think Pogacar ran out of steam. Whether it's because of his break from training earlier in the year after his accident, or whatever. His strategy so far has been to try and steal bonus seconds rather than go for big wins. Will be interesting to see what happens today on a rather mountainous course.

Will Pogacar be angrified enough to take a win or will Jonas be on cloud nine and breeze it?
You'd have to expect Pogacar to come out fighting though.

Adam Yates has been amazing this tour, if they could sneak him into the breakaway somehow (would never happen surely) it would stir things up. I agree a third protagonist would be interesting - if only bernal hadn't been injured or if evenepoel had also been there...shouldn't complain though, it's been incredible.

It's so cruel/clever to have the queen stage after that TT.

Read somewhere that vingegaard had a VO2 max of 97 when he was 17. He would definitely have been coned on zwift

Has he been genetically modified?

This is what makes me like him, despite a thumping yesterday, he will probably go full blast.

Last time I saw anything like his attitude was when Chris Froome took back over 3 mins in the Giro to become race leader.

Could it happen again?
That's the way I feel too. We all know Pogi will either do it, or die trying. My brain is telling me Jonas will take the stage today, but my heart want's Tadej to win by 1:45 so it's back to square one

I mean pogacar doesn't care about whether he finishes 2nd or 24th he will try something if he has the legs. He has bounced back from "bad" days this tour already and was underraced going in....but hard to see vingegaard lose massive amounts of time isn't it after such a dominating performance and kuss around to support, would be amazing if the gap closed though

Did my first Ton in ages and ages yesterday. Rode with my older brother and it was nice and steady other than up the 3 x 100CLIMBS that we took on. We did Whiteleaf (#23), Dragon Hill (The White Horse) (#121) and Kingston Hill (#122). It reminded me that I tend to attack hills mainly out of the saddle.

Enjoyed the day and the weather stayed good. Did 109 miles - might be a bit fatigued for tonights Road Race
