Yes Pete, still using 'Sauce'. There is a difference in draft from riding directly behind as opposed to just a few inches either side
Cool. Yes, I know there's a difference, but was more talking about how quickly does the draft change. I always had an impression that there is a delay - usually you have to be behind another rider for a second or two before the benefit kicks in. It would also be interesting to see what an avatar with no steering does, when behind riders that steer.

In all seriousness, I think that:
- People behind will steer to get in an optimal position behind the rider in front.
- People in front will steer to break the draft of those behind.
- In the end, it will be a zero sum game.

It would if everyone had the same features. I'd reckon that most won't get steering feature so could be at an disadvantage albeit marginally

@alex_cycles and @Peter Salt , only three day left for round 2 of the Zwift Hill Climb Series. Don't forget your gravel steed! It's a funny one for pacing because there are flattish bits in it - I think I'm going to give it a second try either tomorrow night or over the weekend.

I’m away at the moment, don’t think I’m going to be able to do this one. I’ll let you and your bro have a chance 😂

Hmmm first race with steering. Ludicrously slow for a short race (2.3w/kg average according to zpower) so hard to judge but I enjoyed the experience, definitely helped on hairpins and when following a wheel - did have to concentrate quite hard but that made it immersive.

Definitely not really fair though, wonder if zrl/dirt etc will allow it. There was at least 3 ppl with it and a fair few people in the comments saying they were going to get it.

On final sprint I won by 0.023 of a second so either won because or in spite of steering - I grabbed the lead out wheel then went past; saw the distance closing between me and person behind so veered wildly to the right to avoid him being in slipstream. Mind you I probably had to travel slightly further and didn't put down as much pace....but interesting to see.

Michael,When you passed someone did you need to steer around, or did autosteer kick in?

Because it was a lone person and I wasn't right behind them didn't seem to be an issue and I must have autosteered past. I did notice my watts flashing red in the bunch a few times, not sure if that is new.

One slightly problem as well was that maybe once every 6-7 minutes it would throw you off to the right for no reason. I think Eric from zwiftonsider had a similar issue. But you just steer back.
