I think it’s the odd shaped shifter hoods rather than the bars, which look normal. Looking at the device and my Atom I can’t see why they wouldn’t fit but according to the blurb they aren’t compatible.

I need @Whorty to give it a go first and be a test subject
I'm sure it won't be long before someone tests it and puts something on the Zwift forum :okay:

On a slightly different note: Anyone knows a good screen recording software, for an Android system/phone? Zwift runs really smooth on that, so I'm thinking about using the laptop to do the actual ride and then the phone to capture it, on another account.

Updated to the newest beta firmware on the neobike this morning just to check if it works and although it was literally 30 seconds the steering works! On reflection I probably would have paid for the zwiftplay thing if that had been announced before this so that's handy.

Is steering enabled for many races at the minute? I know it hadn't been for a good while but perhaps that's changed with the recent embracing of steering in general

@alex_cycles and @Peter Salt , only three day left for round 2 of the Zwift Hill Climb Series. Don't forget your gravel steed! It's a funny one for pacing because there are flattish bits in it - I think I'm going to give it a second try either tomorrow night or over the weekend.
Haha, I only got baited into previous one because it was so short

If hay fever gets significantly better by end of the week (things are improving), then maybe I'll have a go. Right now, really don't feel like I have a 4 minute effort in me.

I gave the steering thing a go a few years back ... total waste of time. Steering was banned in races!
I'll wait for others to see how they work ... but all I really want is steering, and we already have spare buttons on the Atom hoods, so they just need to get them working.

I don't use the companion app at all when riding ... I only use the ATV controller to launch a PU

It does look on zwift hacks that it is now enabled for most races, it was pretty crap of them to release it then limit it to a tiny number of events but that does seem to have changed.

I think that's now the tax/Garmin and the kickr who have enabled their steering buttons, not sure about stages but you'd imagine wattbike should follow soon...

I'm getting a feeling that racing, especially successful sprinting, may get a lot easier if you don't use these new features. Everyone else will be too distracted with all the button pressing

Sprinting will be fun! You veer wildly to the left or right and suddenly no one is in your slip stream!

On a more serious note sounds like there was a really awful crash involving Gino mader at the tour de Suisse earlier today, hope he is okay

Yeah, I doubt I would be able to do anything but try and pedal as fast as possible.

I will of course try out the feature to see if getting directly behind a rider gives a better slingshot for winning

Michael idea of moving to the side to expose the rider behind to the wind maybe a better tactic

Isn't cutting across illegal? Once committed to the sprint you can't deviate from your line and all that? ;)

Once people get their buttons, we could do some testing. You still using Sauce, Andy? That would nicely show the draft.
