Your zFTP is actually your CP and often bears very little resemblance to your 95%/20min power.
Zwift don't say what data points they use for your zFTP CP curve calculation, but they do show you some key values on your profile.
Yeah, it's my zFTP (as shown on my Zwift profile) which has supposedly dropped from 314W to 296W.
I've done Spring Training workouts the last two evenings with my FTP kept set at 312W - they'd have been very, very mild with it set to 296W! Does Zwift still give you on-screen notifications about increases to FTP, on the basis of 95% 20 min power improvements?
Will probably do a third Spring Training workout tomorrow morning and may see how I'm feeling for Tinies tomorrow night - all climbing courses this week...

Yes I think it does, but ISTR it only ever seems to adjust upwards. Also to chuck another confusion into the mix. Your zFTP is not your in-game FTP. Nicely thought through isn't it?

After a week off zwifting riding outside mainly at zone 2 as I do .Today's outside ride was weather limited to a 10 miler so I decided to hop on zwift for a bit of intensity. Noticed @CXRAndy had picked the 17.10 cobble crusher in Richmond so I decided to hop in . 2 laps of cobbled climbs in Richmond .Got a bit excited at the start sprinted of the line into the lead ,settled in got to the drag before Libby went mad rode off the front blew halfway up Libby proper . Nearly got back onto to Andy's wheel only for him to drop me on a downhill .Settled in a group of 5 recovering ,kicked halfway up Libby and dropped this group up and over 23rd st . On to Broad Street Andy was 11 secs up the road so I had a target to chase as gravity turns in my favour . I won't spoil the result incase Andy posts his video
28th /98 on zwift power

I think that's where Andy got the Hivey badge back in ZRL December. Broad Street is a great place to make a catch. :okay:

I entered being a bit bloated from an afternoon lunch. That said, I knew being in a group was vital to getting a good result.. I burnt alot of my matches trying to hold the front group up Libby-failed, then it was mainly riding with one or two others. I was so much in the red I hadn't noticed Phil catching me on the climbs and me extending the lead on the descents.

I had pretty much lost all strength up the final climb rolling in when Phil flew by and had an excellent sprint to finish strong.

Great steal Phil, next time :boxing:

I thought Id caught you going over 43rd st but you had an anvil on the descent and soon dropped me. I seemed to have the opposite power ups to you had more feathers than anvils. You so nearly held the front pack over Libby . I am trying to get over a fear of going to hard at the beginning for fear of blowing up so rode into Libby as hard as I could to see if I could hold on ,answer no . I was surprised at the kick at the end wanted to pass you and also the guy Id climbed broad st with P Rouse. That finish does suit me a longer draggy climb

Yes, I was within 5 metres going over the line, but was at my limit so couldn't push over the crest and lost the wheel and that was that

I find that crest and slight downhill really hard to push through as youve emptied the tank going over Libby and a group can just ride away from you

You have to be right on top of your game/top C rider to be with the lightweights.

Results from the event, top 7 lightweights, then some power riders, but weights gradually increase down the results ladder

I found in ZRL that even as a fairly high C lightweight, you get to the top of Libby for like 7th or 8th FAL and the rest of them, the Hiveys and the larger sprinter guys just disappear before your eyes down that next little bit before 23rd St. And then they have the gall to have something left in the tank for the next one, when all you want to do is curl up and have a nap.
