I may only pick flat courses ... since the Atom re-calibration I'm very much mid C so no point me racing B races when I'm going to be dropped in the first 0.5km and end up rolling around on my own. I'm better off training with the robo-pacers until Zwift puts me back in C. I'm struggling to hand on to the C pacers at the moment
I don't know whether this was during the dodgy power phase, but you've definitely got the most impressive scalp amongst us...

What a former TdF stage winner was doing riding in C cat, I really don't know!

He put on a lot of weight every winter, or is probably just getting old, slow and fat as me. ^_^ He is back in B now, however.

I reckon these are just the beginnings of the industry-wide price rebalancing. Soon they'll be giving them away for free with garlic bread

A lot of the MAMILs in our club who lashed out 3-5k on TT bikes 3 years ago (and I giggled at the time - knowing they'd get used twice a year, if that) are now failing to sell them for 90% of what they paid for them on FB (I'm giggling again). First world problem though.

One of the reasons why I've decided to make a move on a new bike build now. Apart from the frame and wheels, I'm getting pretty much everything else used. Bought a pair of pristine (but not boxed) R9100 shifters for under £200 a few days ago. I reckon I can assemble an entire Dura Ace groupset for less than a third of the new 105

Just before COVID kicked off I wanted new chain rings for my Roubaix. Looked up the Levatime direct replacement and was fairly horrified to see they would cost the best part of a ton.
Found a barely used complete crank on ebay for £35 - took a punt.

Took the rings off and sold the rest of the crank on ebay the following week for £25
Chain rings for a tenner. Still using them.

Dodgy power phase I'm afraid ... wish I'd known earlier I'd have got the bike fixed, but didn't know until the chain started slipping and I put the pedals on to compare power

No more glory for me for some time :whistle:

All your ZRL points have been cancelled retrospectively

Do you think it made a really big difference? I suppose it's impossible to be certain.

i think the lack of resistance once I stopped pedaling made a difference. I can certainly feel that now. It's also much, much harder to hold on to power that during ZRL was 'normal'.

Goes to show though, unless you have a second power source to check against, or the trainer is playing up, it's impossible to know if something is wrong. Plus I wasn't riding outside so I had nothing else to compare it against.

Just glad we're on a rest from ZRL as I'd be getting my ass kicked even in C at the moment

Yes that is probably quite a good guide by "feel" now you have outdoor power meter.

You'd probably still find a way to get more points than me, even if it was SBP in group 2
