Isn't it odd how when you sometimes feel a bit crap, some of best results pop up:wacko:

I was feeling a bit flat partly from Tuesday 2hour ride which really took it out of me and being fasted from yesterday

So I decided to glucose loads whilst warming up, drank 500 mil water 85 grams of castor sugar.

Boom 💥💥💥

Felt strong, held good position each time up to the Arc.

1000W sprint reappeared :hyper:

Came third in the race, promotion to 🥈

Video of my finish sprint to follow

ZZ top really worked a treat too :boxing:

Yep I agree. Sometimes you feel rubbish but somehow a great performance pops out. I try and remind myself about this when I'm on a start line feeling lousy.

Nice to get the sprint back. Wish mine would hurry up ^_^

Are you still in the new dirt B squad Alex? Those guys are very powerful

The "Steamers" have four or five teams and you rotate around according to how many people sign up. This week I was in the Steamers Loco which was mostly Cs (we had 2 Bs). It was a bit more blobby than when I was with the stronger group, but also very rolling/hilly compared with France. I still did 45 minutes at 93% IF though. Hard session.

We were given the instruction to "gun it" for the last 600m or so uphill finish, so it would have been rude not to  ...

New climby TT bike and wheels too. Felt IA2 + Enve 7.8

- need them for the upcoming DRS which has a TTT on Knickerbocker and an iTT with FTS up the Volcano. Starts Tuesday with 16 laps of Downtown Dolphin with FAL on laps 2 & 8 lap banners and FTS on lap 15 sprint banner.

The guy who won is a monster, winning races all over the place.

His ranking of less than 100 points, that's over 100 points better than me and makes Carl's ranking look a bit pah!

He must be right on the cusp of moving up into B - I'd be surprised if he isn't CE'd up soon. Looking at his race history, he's evidently quite capable of putting out a 20min 300W+ effort, but just doesn't need to, so he hasn't done it since the summer of '21, even in the time when he was riding as a B. Archetypal cruiser. To give him his dues, he does still race 'up' in B from time to time (often in <20min events, though!).

He's almost platinum on ZR.app (and has been) https://www.zwiftracing.app/riders/1198710

In other ZR.app news. There is now an "anti-tank missile" algorithm. I don't think the details of how it works are being made public (in order to make it harder to game) but, now, if you try to do this...

...it will no longer work. (The guy who did this is a much stronger rider than me and I'm a strongish Gold 1)

Did tour of watopia stage 4 yesterday ,dust in the wind circuit . Felt I really raced it well ,hung on to the front over the rollers to titans and let the fast riders go over Titans then was always in a small group picking up riders dropping riders ,coming out the jungle was in a group of 8 which splintered up the climb ,I sprinted back on to the lead 3 as we crested the tarmac climb after you come out of the jungle and we rode together to the finish putting over a minute in to the group behind so the sprint to join was vital . Out sprinted 2 of the 4 for 28th on zp . Think the other riders were B cat so happy with performance . Felt I burnt my matches when required
