Like @Legs said - we discussed this on the Training thread, so worth looking at that discussion.

Some apps estimate your W' (available energy above FTP).

The number that Alex linked to, on Zwift seems about right for the graph. My effort up the viaduct on last race was just about maximum which show my graph touch zero

Had a couple of races over the weekend which haven’t made me feel too much like a complete whipping boy in A cat: took 2nd out of 6 in the LaGuardia Super Sprint Race last night (409W NP over nearly 6 minutes), then 5th out of 7 in the 3R Flat Route race this morning, behind the break but outsprinting all the remaining Bs. Fitness still seems to be on the up (although my elder son has got a terrible cold and it seems only a matter of time before he gifts it to me…)

I've got just 4 weeks to build more endurance fitness. I will try and steadily build load for 3 weeks then taper off. Trouble is work around the house might/probably get in the way

You’ll be fine. Just ride well within yourself, eat and drink plenty, and don’t fret. There’ll always be people who’ll wait at the top of hills. Even if it’s really gruelling, it’ll be Type II Fun in due course!

Of course it was in Denmark, I rarely ride outside of Denmark. It was 7 degrees, so one of the hotter outdoor rides this year.

Climate change is doing tricks more often these days. Here in Finland we had snow more than enough but can't say it was especially cold winter in here, on the contrary. Electricity is expensive these days so I don't mind if winter is warmer.

12.6 degrees at 4:50 AM January 1st 2023, was the highest recorded January temperature in Denmark since they started measuring it back in 1874! So fine for a bike ride on the race bike! ^_^

Don't tell me, did you cut the grass with the lawn mower as well in a January?. In Finland temperature record in January is 10,9°C. That is measured in Åland 1973.
