My consultant has advised me not to run unless I really want to as it may shorten the life of my replaced hip. I was planning to do a bit of jogging but its no big deal to bin it.
Luckily he said I can walk as far as I want and cycle as much as I want, including racing.
Out of interest Martin, are you allowed to do weight training, like squats and deadlifting?
I don't know if these types of exercise would shorten the replacement joint prematurely
PS - I have a chihuahua so I only walk it round the block - not miles. I look proper hard walking a fat black chow round the estate
I think gcn have highlights up for the men's races at least. Haven't watched the women's yet, will probably just watch highlights as saw a spoiler.
People did try breakaways in both races at least to try and stop it being a sprintathon

I do agree that the omnium elimination races are a great format. Hopefully someone figures out a way to do it (probably not zwift themselves)
Would be great on the crit courses ... 10 laps, each lap the last 10% get eliminated until last lap, winner takes all ... that type of race would hurt like hell
If there was a way of doing it for our club race it would be fun. The sprinters could try and burn off the endurance riders but they would surely try and breakaway. Probably could do it if someone agreed to be DS and everyone agreed they would honour whatever their adjudication was each lap but could see controversy happen pretty quickly
Oi! I already did a TdS before. Was dead last if I remember correctly.tbh, i think those racing Tuesday are all honest and wouldn't be controversial ... at the end of the day it's a bit of fun between mates ... I mean, look at the last CC race .. official result has me winning due to the quirk of Zwift meetups, but we both know you crossed the line first and so won. I think we can all be honest and know if we're pipped at the post ....
@steverob is the crit course (Dolphin?) an option for team races?
@Legs is going to be looking for revenge for sure as he mistimed the sprint last time and got caught out, and @Peter Salt as a virgin will be looking for scalps. And there are a few new CC riders to watch out for who have learned to wheelsuck like the best of us and can punch up those climbs, so should be fun on Tuesdays.
